Support is included for only the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG LAN MiniPCI Adapter. This release incorporates: Single Sign On (SSO) - Allows for a wireless network connection before logon. A capability typically used by the IT Administrator to enable certain system logon scrips and/or push installtion of software updates. NOTE - SSO is an optional feature and must be specifically installed via the custom install option - the typical install does not install SSO. Validation with Microsoft Service Pack 2 (SP2) Intel Administrator Tool Kit - System Wide Options (SWO) can be remotely set and updated 2) Installing/updating the adapter driver and Intel Wireless PROSet ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unified Install now exists on all builds. 1. On software installation, driver will also be installed. 2. On software uninstallation, driver will also be uninstalled. To install the driver and PROSet, simply run AUTORUN.EXE from the root of this archive and select "Install Software". The first time you run the Intel PROSet Installer, the Installer automatically upgrades installed utilities to version 8.1. For example, if a previous version of Intel PROSet is installed, it is automatically upgraded to version 8.1. The second time you run the Installer, options, and the ability to uninstall or modify installed components or install new components, are available. 3) Installing/updating the adapter driver without installing Intel Wireless PROSet ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can install just the device driver in one of two ways 1. Execute the setupwld.exe program in the drivers directory 2. Utilize the OS device manager utility 4) Compatibility ---------------- This release supports only Windows XP (Home/Professional/Tablet) and Windows 2000 Professional. This release supports only the PRO/Wireless 2200BG LAN MiniPCI Adapter. Windows XP is supported by this version of Wireless PROSet. You can manage your wireless connections either by the built-in utilities of Windows XP or via PROSet. If you desire to use Windows XP to manage the wireless connection, you need only to install the device driver - and not install PROSet.
